At the end of Route 23 where it tees off east and west, the latter being a continuation of farmlands, towns, more farmlands and eventually Hartwick College; there is the most beautiful formation of frozen water. Waterfalls trying desperately to cascade onto tarmac are beaten back by a frigid gang comprised of a hard-ass Jack Frost, a nimble but crisp wind, and a rumbling dark bearded ice storm. The crystallized stalactites hang like angry teeth barred in defiance against these hooligans defacing the property of nature. Those cold boys they say, always coming around when they aren’t wanted. Notorious cold boys have left another one of their signs.
